Gateway,the National-Level Media Fest organized by the Society of Media Sciences, Department of Media Sciences, Anna University,
has been a beacon of creativity and excellence since its inception in 2005. With nearly two decades of rich history, Gateway has grown
into a vibrant celebration of media talent, providing students with an unmatched platform to explore, express, and excel in various
disciplines, including filmmaking, photography, animation, design, and advertising.Drawing over 500 entries from 200+ colleges
annually and hosting more than 2000 attendees , the event stands as a testament to its enduring legacy and value in shaping the
next generation of media professionals. By fostering innovation through contests, workshops, and interactive sessions, Gateway
continues to uphold its mission of bridging the gap between aspiring creators and industry experts.
Over the years, Gateway has welcomed an illustrious array of icons who have significantly enriched its narrative. Visionary directors like Balu Mahendra,
Rajiv Menon, Prabhu Solomon, Mohan Raja, K.V. Anand, Amir, Vetrimaran, Karthik Subbaraj, Radhakrishnan Parthiban, Balaji Mohan,

Society of Media Sciences
The Society of Media Sciences (SMS) is the vibrant and creative student body of the Department of Media Sciences, Anna University.
